New site – wp admin page not found

Hi – I just set up a new wordpress site via go daddy 1 click installation.

I can access the back end of the site via go daddy, any once logged in that way if i open a new window and go to /wordpress/wp-admin I can access the back end that way.

However, if i do not log in via godaddy first and go to /wordpress/wp-admin it says the page can’t be found.

What’s going on?
