New sitemap is not generated when article posted from XML-RPC

I’m using XML-RPC to publish new to my site, but I noticed the sitemap does not get regenerated when they are published this way. I can post them as draft and then go manually change them to published, and this works. Can we make this feature work with xml-rpc as well?

From what I’ve read, there’s a separate hook to use for this: xmlrpc_publish_post
