    Hi 123host,

    Are you sure that is caused by the MailChimp for WordPress plugin? I actually have a hard time believing that as the plugin does in no way change anything in the way people register to your WordPress site.

    No not 100 certain. All I can tell you is that WP default setting is subscriber and subscribers frrom the form end up as editors.

    Any thoughts on possible causes?

    Hi 123host,

    As the plugin (like Danny said) in no way changes how people register to your website, my suggestion is to look at what other plugins you have activated. My guess is that one of those causes issues. Try deactivating them one by one and see if that solves it, please.

    I didn’t solve the problem but the report was that it was caused by the habitat plugin.

    Was pretty confusing though.
