New Theme

  • I’m working on a new theme and have it to the point that I can run my blog on it. Looking for feedback and any recommended enhancements before releasing it to the public. Check it out and leave me a comment with your input.

  • I think it’s always good to validate it before releasing ??

    I like it… one small point, the backgrounds in the top left hand sidebar do not line up properly with the menu text in Firefox. It looks fine in IE.

    This week I spent a fair bit of time tweaking my site on some enhancements I made and most of this was on making it appear properly in both kinds of browsers. This challenge is enough to make me go crazy.

    Looks, good, that header is a beautiful picture. I also like the three columns, helps organize info a little better!

    doc – I’ll have to download Firefox and check it out. I’m an IE diehard so I appreciate the heads-up on the mismatch. I’ve heard Firefox actually has better CSS compliance than IE anyway. ??

    smarter001 – The 3-column layout is the functional piece that sold me on this theme. I had way too much stuff in my sidebar and kept wanting to add more.

    The photo is v-nice. I’ll actually be changing it out for a tech-themed graphic eventually, but wanted to have that in there when I initially posted it since that’s what the original template designer used. And it’s a photo from his boyhood town – fancy growing up there!

    VaamYob – I’ll have to take a look. I seem to recall that Andreas wanted credit, and I’ve actually put full credit in the template description, which reads:

    A 3-column WordPress theme based on the andreas01 website template.

    I also have that link in the post on my site that announces the theme. But I’ll email Andreas as well.
