New theme and editing it

  • Hi guys, I have been struggling to get a good simple them for my blog. I have used many different ones. I now use a simple theme by DBT that I changed a few things about. I would appreciate if you could take a look and give me some feedback and your over all experience on the site. Here is the link: BlogStash.com

    I just looked at your site, and I have a few comments.

    • Your Google ad (“top banner”) loaded a few seconds before the rest of the site. There were such a “pause,” I’m aftraid that some people will click away from your site without looking at it.
    • It’s difficult to tell which is your content, and what is ads.
    • The black text on the dark blue background is just about unreadable.
    • A lot of your text is too small; it’s difficult to read.

    Site is badly broken in Opera. You need to sit down and figure out the site code. I also got a iframe warning from one of your adverts, plus your adverts don’t work on my LAN maybe because of the previous warning.

    Looks OK in Firefox 3.6.13, but totally messed up in Chrome.

    I have an ad blocker so I didn’t see the Google ad, but it took about 15 seconds for more than just the header to show.
