I’m using your plugin and it’s working fine until I update it from 1.2 to 1.6 and now it’s breaking my site css when I’m using it as a admin. I attach the screenshot you can see the problem there: https://imgur.com/a/TRxj44E

@sherazk1 I spent some time testing compatibility although I’m unable to reproduce the same issue you’ve been encountering. I’ve tested using 2 default WordPress themes along with multiple configurations.

In relation to your own setup did you try the option within the minify settings that disables minification for logged in users? It looks like the plugin provides this option for such scenarios. Let me know if this works for you.

It might also be worth checking for the same issue with another theme active. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Sorry for the late response after updating the sitekit to the latest version now it conflicting with something others not with the w3 total cache I disable that but now it destroying the admin top bar the only way to fix it, for now, is to disable that in admin bar if you need my site access for checking that I can provide you that.

I have also upgraded to the newest version and I am also using w3 total cache. I don’t have the issue you describe. Have you tried enable the W3 total cache and “purge all cache”. I think it is the W3 total cache plugin that are making this issue. I have had a lot of troble with that plugin over the years.

Yeah I purge the cache all the time when I try to test them most of the time the issue comes from the cache, But for now, I debug it again the latest version is conflicting with two plugins now one is w3 total cache and second wp external links I disable the external link plugin and exclude the adminbar css from minification then the issue is solved, kindly look for it the issue is coming from your adminbar css.

@sherazk1 much appreciation for your report. Indeed, per our investigation there is a conflict with the WP External Links plugin. We’re attempting to contact its developer for a resolution there.

Just to confirm does the issue with W3TC still persists for you? Even with the option to Disable minify for logged in users enabled?

    Thanks again!

I didn’t enable the option Disable minify for logged in users because I’m testing optimization on my site so I can’t enable that but I know if I can enable that the issue will be solved there is something in that adminbar css that breaking the css after minification your older version(1.2) does not have an issue in that css so you can check for that.

@sherazk1 thanks for the feedback. We’ll continue testing to see if we replicate the same on our side and keep you updated.

@sherazk1 I’m following up to update you on some findings:

    1) The issue with WP External Links is being actively worked on here. We’ll update you when this is resolved with the authors of that plugin.

    2) With W3TC minify option, I do see that Site Kit’s admin bar integration is affected: https://jmp.sh/W60dkOK

The integration displays well when the minify option is disabled: https://jmp.sh/xzoyhKf

This is similar to your screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/TRxj44E (notice Site Kit0 instead of the icon)

Could you confirm that just the admin bar (not your site CSS) is affected with W3TC minify and Site Kit? (ensure WP External Links is disabled)

Any feedback will be helpful for us determine the best approach to address this. Much appreciation!

I disable the wp external links plugin and enable minify css for adminbar css for me it’s breaking my site css also.

@sherazk1 many thanks for the report back. While I’m not experiencing the appearance of broken site CSS with just Site Kit’s admin bar (with both W3TC and WP External links disabled), I am curious if your theme in particular is a factor. I’ll attempt to test further.

The tricky thing about the minify option is that it can have various effects on different sites (some respond better to it than others- hence the warning in W3TC before you turn on the option). If you at any point could test further with just having W3TC or Site Kit enabled on the site at one time that can narrow down which plugin alone is affecting the site CSS while logged in. Thanks for your helpful feedback on this @sherazk1 !

Okay so now i test it a little bit further i tested two theme one is woodmart which is currently i’m using second flatsome both theme css breaks after minify enable on adminbar css on flatsome i disabled all the plugins except sit kit and w3 total cache even with two plugin the css is breaks so it’s means there is no more conflict with others plugins or any theme it just the problem in adminbar css when we try to minify them.

    (@sherazk1)

@sherazk1 Thanks for the update. I’ve tried again and I was unable to reproduce the same issue. I noticed Flatsome and Woodmart are commercial themes, I’ve therefore been unable to test so far. I noticed they are both from the same theme developer also.

While we can keep you updated on the WP External Links issue please inform me if you encounter the same issue with any other theme. We’ll continue investigating from our side.

@sherazk1 just a quick update that I’ve been able to recreate the issue with the admin bar, W3TC minify, and the WoodMart theme. I’ve opened an issue here for us to look into this further: https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/1427

Feel free to follow it and we’ll provide you with updates.

@sherazk1 just sending a quick update that WP External Links has released a new version 2.45 which addresses the issue with broken CSS while viewing the site logged in.

We’re still working on the issue you’re experiencing with your theme, W3TC minify, and the Site Kit Admin bar. We haven’t been able to replicate it with another theme, so this specific combination is what’s doing it. We’ll keep you updated on its progress.
