New Update crashs my site

Hi, same problem for me, just updated to last version and my site has crashed. When I login I just see this in my admin panel. How do I solve this:

No other plugin can cause this because I just logged in, averything normal, then update and this happens. Need help ASAP. Thanks.

I just found in the plugin directory via FTP that the file 3rd-plugins.php in the includes directory is missing. Also I have downloaded manually the last version of the plugin and that file is missing. For the moment I am going to comment the line 35 of content-view.php to see if it works and witing for the developer to provide that file.

I am now getting the following message across the top of my home page after the update to 1.86:

I edited the Download link to make it 1.8.5 (https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/content-views-query-and-display-post-page.1.8.5.zip), uninstalled the plugin and then reinstalled 1.8.5 which has sorted the problem for now…

Same. Had to rollback to previous version. Kindly let us know once the issue is fixed so we can update it.

This may be a dumb question, but can I roll back to a previous version without FTP access? I only have admin access to the WP-dashboard until tonight.

Or, do I have to delete the current directory in the FTP database and replace them with a folder of a previous version of the plugin – and if so, will I lose all my content views?

Hi atallare – you don’t need ftp access as you are only replacing the plugin with an older version. I downloaded the older version using this link https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/content-views-query-and-display-post-page.1.8.5.zip and then deactivated and uninstalled the ContentViews plugin. I then re-installed the downloaded plugin using the “Upload Plugin” button at the top of the “Add New” plugin page. I then activated this which sorted the problem…

Went back to 1.8.5 and it’s ok now. These updates should be tested before being rolled out. Thanks for the link to the previous version roly

I’m having the same problem with our site – but it’s also locked me out of my Dashboard.
