New Update Is Awesome But….Gtin In Product Variations

    Hi I got an email saying the plugin now allows GTIN to be added to products which is amazing ! But the problem is I have some products set up as Variations so I can add a GTIN number for a single product but not for the individual variations eg for different weights 50G, 100g, 200g which is gutting as I then cant use the new GTin feature for google products reviews.

    Is there any way possible to impliment the GTIN number for individual product variations??

    Do different weight variations of the same product have different GTINs? That doesn’t seem right to me.

    Doesnt it? Isnt a GTIN essentially a barcode ? So if a customer bought 100grams of product A and then 50Grams of product A if they both had the same GTIN they would have to have the same price there would be know way of differentiating between the two.

    On Googles shopping feed each individual product needs a different GTIN and mine have different GTINs because of the weight of the product which is fine, but because on Woocommerce you can have a product variation your new plugin version only lets you add a GTIN number on a individual product. Not for each of the variations you might of set up. Eg you might also have a jacket say in red with one GTIN then the same jacket but in blue and green with unique GTINs for each of the variations.

    Hope I am making sense to you! ?? If im wrong please let me know but that makes sense doesnt it ? It would be amazing if you could have that GTIN box available in the individual product variations drop down box so GTINs can be added etc etc

    Ok, I understand. I will have to look into that after the holidays.

    Love the new product GTIN feature – However, why grab this data from an existing plugin, such as the Woocommerce product feed for Google/Bing shopping – which already has the GIIN data at a product variable level.

    That would save us the time entering the data twice, and fix the above?

    Any update on this please?

    Released version 2.2!
    * Added GTIN support for Product Variations
    * GTIN field now shows a sample value of each meta key
    * Added ability to disable GTIN by selecting NONE in the dropdown
    * Added filter hook to conditionally hide the badge on certain pages
    * Removed the transient cache feature from the product post meta field on the plugin settings page
