    Hello Team,

I updated power press a couple of days ago. I also changed the show notes for one of my episodes and now power press automatically assigns this episode to season 1! All my other episodes are listed under “unknown” at the moment. As a result that specific episode (an old one) has moved to the top of my apple podcasts listings. I want it to be back in its original place. How do I change this? Do I assign episode numbers to each episode?

    Thanks

Make sure you have updated to 8.2.3. We fixed the season number bug.

    Hi Mike!!

Yeah, I’m using 8.2.3. But whatever number I type there, when I publish or update, the number just disappears, as if I never wrote anything in that field.

OK, keep us updated, please. I had to rollback to the previous version.

Yes, please let us know when the issue is resolved. How do I roll back to a previous version? Is that relatively easy?

Ok, you can roll back by going here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/powerpress/ and click on “Advanced view” in the right sidebar. There is a pull down to download other versions.

Is this issue resolved yet? I still see the episodes for which I recently edited the show notes under Season 1.

    Thanks Mike!

What do I enter to have it show up under “unknown” season?

    Just make it blank.

I’m still having issues with this.

If a podcast has a season # in the “Apple Podcasts Optimization” section and I remove it, the post publishes just fine. But the next time I edit that post, the season # has returned.

This is true on my MacBook in Safari, but NOT on the same MacBook in Firefox. I thought it might be a cacheing issue but I have cleared all of my cache, restarted the browser, and even rebooted the computer. It’s still happening, but not on every browser.

Anything I can try to fix it? It’s really wreaking havoc on my podcast feed ordering!

    Hello,

Thank you for letting us know that this is still an issue. We will be releasing another update in the next few days to fix this and address a couple of other bugs that have been reported.

    Thanks for using PowerPress!
    Ben
