So after updating the plugin, I’m receiving this error message when I try to add a new event:

Your site doesn’t include support for the “tribe/event-datetime” block. You can leave this block intact or remove it entirely.

How do I fix this? I can’t pick a date or time so the calendar is currently not usable.

    Hi @jeneenw

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue. Let me help you with this one.

Can you try deactivating and reactivating The Events Calendar plugin and see if that helps?

If that doesn’t help, could you try running a conflict test??I suggest conducting these tests on a Staging Server.

Please also provide the version of the following. This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

Let me know how it goes.

Deactivating and then reactivating The Events Calendar plugin didn’t help.

    PHP: 6.2.1
    WordPress: 7.4.33 (Supports 64bit values)
    The Events Calendar: 6.0.13.1
    Theme: Vantage

    Hi @jeneenw

    Thanks for providing additional information.

Could you try downgrading your WordPress to 6.2 and check if that makes a difference?

Let me know how it goes.

I have the exact same issue and it appears to be a conflict with WP GO Maps https://www.wpgmaps.com/ – v9.0.19

I am using the latest WordPress 6.2 on my staging environment with ALL other plugins disabled except Events Calendar and WP Go Maps and it is clear when I create a new event with WP Go Maps deactivated all is fine, but when I activate it the new event goes awry with those same errors.

    (@jeneenw)

Disabling the WP Go Maps didn’t work for me. I’m still getting that error. I’ve gone through all of my plugins and have only kept the plugins that are deemed important for the look of our website so unfortunately I can’t stop using them just to use The Events Calendar.

    Thanks for your feedback @steffievolvcom

@jeneenw Please try activating only The Events Calendar and see if the issue persists. If it’s working as expected, you can enable the other plugins that you deem important, one at a time, and check for conflicts.

I, too, was experiencing the same error message in all of the blocks in my events.

Like @steffievolvcom, deactivating WP Go Maps fixed the issue for me.

    Hi @cleanpagedesign @steffievolvcom

Thanks for the feedback. Could you open a new thread and add the details of the issue you’re encountering? This is to properly monitor and address this specific issue.

Moreover, we have already created an internal bug ticket regarding the WP Go Maps conflict.

@jeneenw Are you still encountering the issue after trying the recommendation provided here? Looking forward to your reply.

    (@steffievolvcom)

Yes I did turn off all plugins except the Events Calendar and when I reactivate the other plugins one by one it is definitely the WP Go Maps plugin that caused the conflict. I will open another ticket for this specific problem. Thanks!

Hey there, this thread has been inactive for a while, so we’re going to go ahead and mark it Resolved. Please feel free to open a new thread if any other questions come up, and we’d be happy to help.

Is there a fix for this issue please? I can confirm the conflict with WP Go Maps, since an automatic update (was working before).

Same issue here. Definitely a conflict with WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps).

It is also causing a structured data error for the location field. Which is terrible for SEO, and thus site rankings.

Is there a fix being worked on?

Your site doesn’t include support for the “tribe/event-datetime” block. You can leave this block intact or remove it entirely.

I have the very same issue since a recent plugin update. I have disabled all other plugins with no luck.

Just sharing that if you go to Events, Settings > General > Uncheck the box for “Enable the Gutenberg block editor interface for creating events”, you can at least enter the information for your new event and it’ll load properly in your Calendar.
