    Hi,
If only we are warned of the content of an update then one will have adequate information on whether to update or not. This update is total unnecessary and without a child theme to go back to, it is probably impossible for people like me to clean up the mess of this update.

Firstly, the home page button is missing (the black banner is too big without the option of changing the colour or reducing it), the space to input the information has being taken out (usually in the theme option of the homepage). Why? Is it an over sight or deliberate?

Secondly, the space for the slider text is too big and the text is equally too big. It was fine in the previous update and neat. Please revert back to the last update before this one.

And yes, I have tried doing the child theme, but couldn’t. Nothing happened after putting in the codes.

How do I go back to the last update? This is very distressing for me. And please, list your updates before people update their themes.

    Thank you for your time.

The new update addressed the banner issue that many have brought up ( not being able to format banner text, the banner is now a widget rather than a theme option with the user having much more control). So now you can go to widgets and add anything to go in the banner, rather than just a 1-line of text. This is a very important update that I am positive most of the users will want, because it gives you the freedom to add a lot more.

Also added a recent-posts custom widget for bloggers, or content-driven sites that displays a grid-style layout for recent articles.

The slider text, i got a bunch of emails from users saying that it’s not very visible in the old version, hence the change. You can customize it anyway you want with css.

Any custom changes to any of the theme files should always be implemented as a child theme.

It may look a little intimidating at first, but it’s very easy if followed accurately.

All previous versions of the theme are available here:

    All the best!

As for instructions and details being listed, you can find updates regarding the theme on the theme page: https://smartcatdesign.net/avenue/

I would love to have an instructions & updates document put together. Time and resources are limited so I do my best to update the site and the readme.txt files with as much detail as possible.

Hi, I thank you for your time always. But,…sorry, still not happy with the update. How do we hyperlink the text in the home banner, now that it is a widget(the colour button and font colour now gone). Can not change the font size or the font itself now.

I can not understand the code file, so will not be able to modify it from the editor. And I tried to upload the last update 1.1.0 again (just to go back the way things were), it would let me.

    Hi,
i put up the child theme in the themes folder, but did not activate it. Look exactly like the updated parent one. Can i delete the parent one and revert to the 1.1.0.?

Ps: No image of the slider appeared in the child theme preview, will it have the slider if i activate it. and where is the button to backup all the data on the site before embarking on this dangerous plan?

    Thank you
