    one string Return to Directory for button had been translated into a local language successfully in the version of 5.7.5, however after being updated to 5.7.6 this text
    shows in original English.

    I had relocated PO & MO files to ..languages/plugin in order not to be covered by new updating.

    All other strings are not affected but this one. I found the most possible reason is that the connected file of this string of new verion is templates/parts/listing-buttons.tpl.php, but before it was connected elsewhere.

    I may not be right. Just wondering if developers of the plugin be aware of this issue, or at least a possibility. And if so I hope new updating in the future will not come up with such problem.

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Let me run this by the developers to see what the issue may be here. Have you updated your translation file recently?

    Please keep in mind that with each release, we add, edit or remove strings in the plugin, and as a result, those things are changed in the translation file. If you are using a translation file, you should update your translation files with EACH upgrade of the plugin.?

    Thanks for your response and the informaiton you shared.

    It’d be time-costing very much to re-do all translation work again if there is any change on language file. I hope there will not be often changes on language files along with plugin updates.

    Sorry for any confusion about this. You don’t have to start from scratch to update the file — if you follow the directions in the article, it will only update the strings that were added or changed in the latest release.

    The developer also said this: “The “Return to Directory” string used to have a left arrow in it and we removed it for last release. That changed translation files so the string should be translated again in .po and .mo files. We are looking for simplicity, in future versions it should be reduced to just one string to translate.”

    Today I noticed a lot of foreign translated strings for locale nl_NL!
    The strings do have the wrong language, and also a lot of strings are present, which are strings for already translated lines. They are very bad translations, so I will have to remove them.
    Maybe you have a clue what went wrong?

    We do try to include as many translations as we can in the plugin, but we rely on native speakers to contribute those. If you are interested in being a contributor or a translator, please do let us know.

    Hi,

    I am already contributing to your localisation, by approving suggested translations. In this situation translations from a wrong language was imported. Also already present translations where again suggested, but with very bad translations. So it gives me a lot of extra work. To move forward I will remove the wrong translations.

    I did clean up the mess yesterday by rejecting the strings that were not OK.
    So have a look at those by filtering on “rejected”
    Or search for psmits1567 my accountname.

    It is highly likely my fault to having mistakenly updated wrong language of translation to Dutch.

    I feel sorry for my carelessness that caused disorder and confusions thereof.
