• OK, this is a total “newbie” question. When someone creates a new user account for themselves, is there any e-mail information sent to the admin and if so, to what e-mail address is it sent? Also (OK it’s two questions) does the admin have the option to allow or deny the account? Maybe a better way to ask this is does the admin have to approve the new user account before it becomes “active”? Or is the only option to delete the unwanted account after it’s been created?

    Thanx

  • I get these:

New user registration on your blog Trident Trackback:

    Login: pretend_name

    E-mail: [email protected]

    They are sent from Apache.

I can delete the account, but as they are at level 1 and have hardly any access, why bother ?

Well just to keep “undesirables” out I guess. Anyway, thank for the info. At what address do you get the e-mails? And do they actually say “pretend” or do you get the actual user name and e-mail address?

It doesn’t say prentend, it displays the information that the user entered.
