new user and posts help

  • hi all,
    I’m here to ask you that I regularly make backup of my sql database whenever there is new user and do not make backup of the wordpress public html folder. If something bad happen, will I be able to recover my site by using old backup of wp and latest backup of database? I mean without loosing any user?

    Secondly, what about my later posts (which are made after the backup of wp site files) and later pages in above scenario? Please reply

  • All of the post content and user data is stored in the database, so you will be able to recover those things as of the latest backup.

    Plugins and theme changes, including css, are kept in the wp-content folder under public html. If you make any changes to the theme or plugins after a backup, you will not be able to recover them.
