New user created?

    Hi,

    I put this on my site and then created a user with the username “externalsupport” – then a few hours later I found ANOTHER user had been created with the username externalsupport995663. Sorry for my paranoia, but is that normal? Does that just mean that someone logged in using that link, and that all their actions are recorded as that specific user name or something? I wasn’t expecting a second user to be created when someone used the link.

    First time using the plugin. Seems like a terrific way to share with support teams. Thank you!!!

  • Hi,

    When you create a temporary user with Email, the plugin automatically creates a user in WordPress. You can find it under WordPress > Users section.

    So, when you create a user with the “externalsupport[at]domain” email, user externalsupport995663 is created.

    Please check the email address of the temporary user and newly created user. It should be the same.

    The plugin doesn’t create any user when a temporary user logged in with the temporary link.
