    Thank you SO much for providing this import tool! It’s going to help me import hundreds of records of my members to my new membership site.

    The issue I’m having is that when I import, the new user notification is not sent. I have verified that when I manually add a new user and check the “send notification” box, the notification is sent. But when I import via CSV – either using the basic Import Users via CSV plugin or your Import Members from CSV plugin – the new user notification is not sent.

    I have made sure to check the “send notification” box on the Import screen. Also, the “send new user notification” is checked in the Email Options screen of the PMPro Memberships plugin.

    I do have installed the beta version of the Multiple Memberships per User plugin by PMPro, but even when that plugin is deactivated, the issue persists.

    I have deactivated all plugins and only tested with PMPro and Import Members from CSV, and it still doesn’t work.

    I am having a hard time finding a workaround for this problem, because I have a couple thousand users to import, and I need each new user to get a notification.

    Would you be willing to help me figure out what the problem is? Thank you very much.

    Thank you so much for your quick reply! I do not have a deadline to meet but this is the only issue holding me up from importing a few thousand users and getting them access to their membership material.

    I have been investigating this and it seems like this is a known issue with many (or all, as far as I’ve found) user import plugins and WordPress. I would love to find out if there is a workaround or solution, because without the notification from WordPress, I would have to send all new users to a forgot-password page. It seems crazy that that would be the only option.

    So thank you for whatever you can find out. I will stand by if you have any questions for me. Thank you!

    Hi,

    I just pushed a new release that attempts to fix the New User Notification issue you’ve reported.

    I’ve also added a section in the FAQ about some typical reasons why it’s possible the notification isn’t being sent or received.

    FWIW, I believe I’ve fixed any issues with the new user notification message in my plugin that aren’t caused by external factors.

    Examples being any anti-spam efforts of your hosting provider, anti-spam efforts by the recipients email host or other plugins on the web server that are taking advantage of the fact that the notification function is a pluggable function.

    I _believe_, as far as I can control, this issue is now resolved.
