    Hi

I have Woocommerce & WordPress and Membership plugin.

I have created a new User Role called “MEMBER” and you still have all the other general User Roles in WordPress for Administrator, Subscriber etc.

We are ONLY actually ADDING in New Members MANUALLY .. in backend of WordPress.

I would like to CHANGE the email that gets sent to particular User Role called “MEMBER” only …

I am only going to be adding in Business Name, Address, Phone & Email that’s all at the bottom.

The standard WordPress email is not very inviting or professional looking with NO details of the Business name on the bottom.

So I’ve downloaded your plugin and setting this up.

Currently all the email says is:

    Username: [email protected]
To set your password, visit the following address:
    https://domainname.com.au/login/?action=rp&key=qGWXeb9cfIP9pecVCJaO&login=????
    https://domainname.com.au/login/

I’m trying to find the correct ONE to change or ADD.
I found the “NEW USER REGISTRATION FOR USER” so assume that is the one I want.

HOW do I ADD the relevant fields that it sends please ?

AND when I’m creating the Email for New User Registration – There is NO option to choose the USER ROLE for “MEMBER” at all ? I can’t see it anywhere ?

I need that to function otherwise it will send to ALL User Registration, and I ONly need it sent to New User Registration for “MEMBER” User Role only …

    Please advise.

    Thanks
    Kristin

OK now I have an issue … since changing something in the settings …

Any New Member that is added it ONLY says this now:

Membership for [email protected] at Business Name has been changed.

    It used to say:
Welcome to your New Membership with Business Name on the Subject TItle….

Now I don’t get that at all.
    No idea why.

I’ve looked at the TEMPLATES and it is Defaulting to the
ADMIN Change (ADMIN) email template …

Which it never used to do before!

Remember that ADMIN have to MANUALLY add in New Users and add that new User to the Member Group. So therefore since I have been testing for days it has always sent out the email from the ADMIN Change for User email the whole time, up until today.

Please advise when you can urgently.

    THanks
    Kristin

Sorry that was the email that it is sending to the ADMIN directly .. notifying Admin that the Membership has Changed … But I just added the New Member, so NO idea WHY it is sending email to ADMIN saying it was changed, when I it didn’t exist until I added it …

Therefore the CUstomer is NOT getting ANY email at all about the “Welcome to your New Membership with Business Name”

That is NOT being sent at all for New Member.

How do I fix this ?

    Thanks
    Kristin

    Hi @kristinubute,
    Thanks for your message.

Unfortunately, you probably won’t be able to use the ‘New User Registration – For User’ notification in Better Notifications for WP if users are registering with WooCommerce. This is due to a long-standing issue where WooCommerce completely overwrites the user registration function within WordPress and it’s not possible to override it correctly. I’ve been in touch with the WooCommerce team periodically over the past few years and they’ve been unable to help or provide any fixes to WooCommerce to get around this.
If you weren’t using WooCommerce, you could use the ‘New User Registration – For User’ notification and the Conditional Notifications for BNFW add-on to send a notification to a new user only when they are part of a specific role but, this doesn’t sound like it’s possible in your scenario.

    Sorry I can’t help further – I would if I could.
