New User Registration filter?

    Thanks in advance for any help…

    I’m looking for a “default role” filter(the filter??) for the default user level upon sign up… I’m creating a plugin, where upon new user registration, a user can choose an option at sign up….”Write for category A or category B”

    So their account will reflect “Role A or Role B”.
    (I’m blocking categories accordingly)

    I’m using the plugin “Role Manger” for role definitions…. I can’t seem to find the Filter to dynamically change this upon sign up. Is there one or should I just use raw programming to make it happen in the dbase??

    So I helped myself…..persistence is a virtue.

    F.Y.I. for anyone looking for something similar…. you can control user data at registration by tapping into the wp_insert_user($userdata) function located in registration.php
