Can Better Notifications for WordPress send Notification “New User Registration – For Admin” when we have more then ONE admin?
Right now this notification is sending to SuperAdmin only.
Could you help me send Notification “New User Registration – For Admin” to ALL ADMINS?

    Hi @helga8,
    Thanks for your message.

Are you using your WordPress site in multisite or single-site mode?

I’m using WP in single-site mode.
Only main site admin receives “New User Registration” Notification.
But we have 3-4 another admins (to approve new users, to create posts and so on…) and we would like if ALL admins could know when new user registered.
is it possible to send “New User Registration” Notification to ALL admins?
    Thanks

    Hi @helga8,

If you’re using single-site mode, you should be able to specify the Administrator user role in the Send To box for the New User Registration – For Admin notification.

Can you delete the notification and set it up again just to check?

    Hi,
I deleted That Notif then set it up again.
I specified Admin role in the Send To box.
And I see in that box that we have 5 admins.

But when new user registered ONLY MAIN ADMIN received email.
Also in mail-log I see that every time when email was sent to Admin there were TWO empty messages to Admin email (Admin didn’t received that 2 messages).

    Hi @helga8,
    Thanks for clarifying.

Can you confirm that the notification you posted above is definitely from BNFW?
Are there any other plugins on the site that may require used approval prior to them being registered on the site?

    Hello,
I deactivated Manual User Approve plugin and new user was registered without admin activation.
In my WP MailLog i see:

    1. New user received email
    “Message:
Your registration on TyRex Digital Family Album is completed. Login url: https://www.dfa.dev.cc/wp-login.php Username: Guest2 Password: The password chosen during the registration”
    2. AND THREE EMPTY MESSAGES WERE SENT TO ANYWHERE

After experimenting with BNFW and Manual User Approve plugins I see:
    1. That email is sending from Manual User Approve plugin.
    2. if I enable BNFW Notification about New user registration, I see 2 empty emails to main admin in WP Mail Log.

    3. I disabled BNFW Notification about New user registration – empty emails aren’t sending.

    So for now I have
    1) An issue with Manual User Approve plugin (email is sending to mail Admin only).
    2) And minor issue – when New User Registration – For Admin Notification is enabled -> 2 empty emails are sending .

    Thanks.

    Hi @helga8,
Does BNFW work when Manual User Approve is disabled?

    Hello,
Empty emails are not empty! I didn’t fill out fields when added BNFW “New user…” Notification. Sorry.

    I’ve tested 4 cases:

    1. Plugin Manual User Approve (MUA) – deactivated. BNFW – “New user Registration – For Admin” Notification – disabled
==> 1 email to new user + no emails from MUA == ok

    2. MUA – deactivated. BNFW – “New user Registration – For Admin” – enabled
+=> 1 email to new user == ok
+ 3 emails to main Admin (at that time I’ve had 2 admins) == ???
+ no emails from MUA == ok

    3. MUA – avtivated. BNFW – “New user Registration – For Admin” – enabled
==> + 2 emails to main Admin from BNFW (at that time I’ve had 2 or 3, 4 admins – emails to Admin were sent exactly 2) == ???
+ 1 email to main Admin from MUA == ok

    4. MUA – avtivated. BNFW – “New user Registration – For Admin” – disabled
==> 2 emails to main Admin (at that time I’ve had 2 and 3 admins – emails to Admin exactly 2) == ???
+ 1 email to main Admin from MUA == ok

So, I think there is an issue with the number of emails from BNFW.

    Regards,
    Olga

    Hi Olga,
    Thanks for testing some more.

It’s possible that BNFW is sending too many emails but if the notification is disabled and you’re still getting too many emails, i’m not sure it’s an issue with BNFW.

Do you receive the correct number of notifications if the whole BNFW plugin is disabled, not just the notification?

    Thread Starter helga8

    (@helga8)

    Sorry, #4 was copied/pasted incorrectly.

    When BNFW DISABLED I have:

    1. Plugin Manual User Approve (MUA) – deactivated. BNFW – “New user Registration – For Admin” Notification – disabled
==> 1 email to new user (from Buddypress I think) + no emails from MUA == ok NO EMAILS FROM BNFW

    2. MUA – avtivated. BNFW – “New user Registration – For Admin” – disabled
==> + 1 email to main Admin from MUA == ok

When BNFW “New user Registration – For Admin” Notification enabled
I have 2 or 3 identical messages to main Admin from BNFW

    Hi @helga8,
Ok, thanks for testing some more.

Let me investigate and i’ll see what I can find.
Can you link me to the Manual User Approve plugin that you’re using?

    Hi @helga8,
After some investigation, I can conclude that both plugins are behaving as they should be.

The change to BNFW in 1.7 allowed other plugins to override the New User Registration notifications which is what the Eonet Manual User Approve plugin is doing. In sequence, BNFW is overriding WordPress, and Eonet is overriding BNFW.
As there’s no way to turn off this functionality within the Eonet plugin, you may wish to look for another user approval plugin that allows you to send or not send notifications for new user registrations. This should then allow the BNFW notifications to come through as it won’t be overriding them.

    Hope this helps.
