I am a noob to www.ads-software.com and have worked through most of the basics, but I think I need guidance on some advanced features. As I look at my site (which is something in development and basic right now), I am not seeing a section to where users can register on my site. I do see the check box in the admin panel to select this on/off, to which it is currently on. But over the past few days I have had users actually register. This is good… but where in the world is the registration page/form/etc. located? Am I missing something?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I used https://iprotectyourdata.com/admin/ to get to your login modal which had a link to your registration page at https://iprotectyourdata.com/wp-login.php?action=register.

BTW: I used /admin/ instead of wp-login.php or wp-admin as that tells me you probably have htaccess enabled and the WordPress rewrites are present or you’re on a well set up NGINX box…

You’ll want to use your normal link then look for that ‘register’ link to see for your self. And, I mentioned this as someone will probably tell you not to use /admin/ as it doesn’t always work (and that’s why I looked in the first place).

I also noticed your ‘https’ isn’t working well and there seems to be a few problems with your site answering in a timely fashion.

@jnashhawkins Thank you so much for this! That is exactly what I am looking for. Not sure what the ‘registration’ does yet for someone and why they would want to do that, but something I will be looking into.

This is my first go at using WordPress and there are things I need to yet learn. Hope this is a good way to start and become familiar. I am a technical person, but currently ignorant to what WordPress can do for me and a site or blog. I just know I do have some content in my head that I would like to get out and seeing WordPress may be a good vehicle in doing so.

Yes, I am waiting for the certificate to come back so I can apply it. Currently it is a self-signed and reason for the ‘error’. As far as performance, I need to look at that. I have not experienced any issues, but I also have not ran any tests either.

I truly appreciate you taking some time and guiding me where you have thus far. Thanks!
