• Have recently been receiving 2FA emails to our admin wordpress email account when a new user registers an account on our wordpress site. Cerber logs show admin login attempt from the same IP the user uses to register his own new account: “2 factor authentication enforced” entry under the admin account immediately after new user account is created. Have duplicated this ourselves by creating a test account.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it something to worry about?

It looks like a plugin switched the user context to your admin account to complete user registration. Should you worry? It’s up to you. If I could identify such a plugin, I would delete it because switching to an admin account is not normal. Probably it’s just a poorly coded plugin.
