New Users from Nowhere

I manage our company’s website which is based in WP. Upon upgrading to version 5 I started receiving roughly 15 new users a day as subscribers but not for anybody that seems real. They have no name, just an email. There is also nowhere on our site to register as a user so I’m confused and worried that there is a bug. Has anybody else experienced this? Do you know how to stop it? Thank you.
