New Users See Toolbar

    I’ve set up subscriber registration and login. It seems when a new subscriber logs in, he/she sees the WP toolbar at the top of the page.

    I’d much prefer that it not be there so access to the dashboard is restricted.

    I realize that the toolbar can be turned on or off in the user’s profile. It seems to default to visible.

    Is there any way to make it default to not being visible?

    P.S. This seems to be the case both using the WP default login or using a plugin.
