New Version CSS Fullwidth Issue

Hey, Hope you are doing well today.

It sounds like you are editing the theme files. Which I don’t suggest and would make for extra work after every update.

I suggest if you just want to set the container to 100% width you do so in your appearance > theme options > advanced settings. There I suggest you add this CSS:

.container {
    width: 100%;
}

As for your site I’m seeing the css work in safari and firefox. It does look like you are using a caching and minify plugin is it possible those minified files just hadn’t been rebuilt?

I would also like to adjust the Home Page Slider in the Virtue theme to a height more then the default 600px. Because of the adjustments of the fullwidth slider, the pictures in the slider are not optimal so I would like to have them in their original ratio. I have tried setting the div classes of the slider to 100% height, but this does not work. How can I do this?
So the problem is, I adjust my container to 100%, but my home page slider stays the same (flex). I could change it to full width slider, but then the height stays the same (600px default).

The home slider height is limited to 600px in the free theme. The premium version of the theme includes the Kadence Slider that allows for easy configuration of a full height slider.

You could probably achieve this with a plugin, though I personally don’t have any to recommend.

I should also note that our free version of Ascend Theme does have options for a fullwidth and height home slider. If you’re not too far into building your site with Virtue Free, you may want to take a look at Ascend Free.

I want to start a new topic however this is not clear how to do this. I do not see ‘start new topic’ or anything similar. So I post my question here:

After changing my theme to Ascend (from Virtue), all my portfolio items give an error stating “Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.
It looks like this was the result of either a mistyped address or an out-of-date link”.
E.g. https://sachajennis.be/portfolio/brugge-voor-la-magazine-m-du-monde/ was the portfolio item which now seems gone. It was built in Virtue and showed after migration to Ascend but not any more now. How can I get all my portfolio items up and running again in the new (Ascend) theme?

You can post a new topic by scrolling to the bottom of the page and adding your request there:

The first thing I recommend in your case is going to Settings> Permalinks, and resaving them.

It’s possible that the portfolio will load properly when this is resaved.
