New version of Bilingual Linker

Hi – I have a client who has been using Bilingual Linker since WP version 4 (and won’t update WP in case it breaks his site – another story).

I had coded the Bilingual linker into the header.php file inside its own div, and styled the div to coordinate with the rest of the site.
He has read that now Bilingual Linker can be added to the menu, and wants to do that.

So I updated Bilingual Linker to the latest version, which is the one with the menu feature ( a great feature which I have used successfully on another site), but when I remove the bilingual Linker div from the header.php and try to add the link to the menu, the link won’t add to the menu and I get white screen.

Is this because he’s running WP verion 4 and he needs to update WP to the latest version?
