    Hello,
First of all, I’m not a tech person ??
My site is only compatible with php 7.0 and anything above php 7 (for example, php 7.2) breaks the site.
Can I try to update the really simple ssl plugin (the newest version requires at least php 7.2), even though my site only allows maximum php 7.0?
If this update can’t be done, for how long can I use an older version of really simple ssl, that accepts php 7?
I would be really grateful if anyone could help me.
    Thanks a lot,
    Ioana

    Hi @ioanaflorina,

Really Simple SSL has dropped support for older PHP versions because these versions are less secure and slower. The 6.0 version of Really Simple SSL will not run on versions <7.2, even when manually uploaded.

Instead, you can just keep on running your current version without issues, as long as you want. There is no problem with that.

When your site is ready for PHP 7.2, you can upgrade Really Simple SSL. Most plugins are now ready for 7.2, and it’s usually not much work to adjust any custom work as well. In the long run this will be necessary, as more and more plugins and themes will stop support for older versions.
