• If you’re running a podcast through WordPress, I could use your help testing the latest version of the wp-ipodcatter plugin for making a iTunes compatible feed (including keywords, duration, and block).

    The latest version also includes an admin panel under the WordPress Options tab for setting itunes:subtitle, default categories, and cover images.

    As an added bonus, you can also turn your blog’s comment feed into a podcast.

    If you could replace line 467 in wp-ipodcatter.php with:
    if (($oldDurCheck) || ($oldDurCheck == "")) {

    and let me know if duplicate durations show up in the database, that’d be helpful.

    hi
    i don’t know why but my wp-ipodcatter.php doesn’t have that many lines. it seems the lines are all put horizontally. can you indicate what exactly i’m supposed to replace with
    if (($oldDurCheck) || ($oldDurCheck == "")) {
    ?
    thanks!

    My apologies. Looks like I had mixed line encodings. I’ve converted them all to unix line encodings and re-updated the .zip file – should remedy that situation.

    Thanks. Looks like you’ve already modified the line in question? I just replaced wp-ipodcatter.php with the one I just downloaded. So far no duplicate durations.

    ok, my “itunes:duration” tag is growing again. I am using wp-ipodcatter.php unmodified (the version that displays the lines correctly). Should I change some code in there?

    Mine is growing as well. Thanks wweekly for the ‘delete’ trick, it worked a charm. I had just cleaned empty “duration tags” manually yesterday, and the “delete trick” just cleared 139 lines. I am using an unmodified version 1.0 downloaded awhile ago.

    Does WP-iPodCatter 1.5 support WordPress 2.0? My RSS feed doesn’t seem to be getting the enclosure automatically….I must re-read the old support files….

    For the record, it is NOT iPodCatter that was the problem, but something broken with auto-enclosures in 2.0

    This plugin by Kyle Gilman solves it, and gives more flexibility as well.

    Quick note, I’ve launched a WP-iPodCatter Plugin Forum on my site.
