    Hello at all.

I have write a lot of nights for a new release.
I have fix a lot of issues and rewrite also different parts of the plugin. Now I add a possibility to hide admin notes. Also the settings on the admin bar are now different between front- and back end.
Also the im/export solution was changes, now is a json format.

It would be helpful, if you test it and give feedback.
The download is in the trunk of this repository, here the link to the package file: https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/adminimize.zip

You should create a backup of you install. After this you can overwrite your current installation and should see all settings.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Write section >> posts, hide editor doesn’ work (vers. 1.9 & 1.8.5)

Hi, tried to hide the editor in section write >> posts (Schreiben Einstellungen – Beitr?ge). Hiding the title does work, hiding the editor not (also not in section pages and used custom post type formats).

    Thanks Mats

    Hello Frank,

Really appreciate the efforts you’ve put into this plugin. I was not able to get far with the test as it conflicted with the User Switching plugin which is handy when testing Adminimize.

@samantha can you explain the problem with user switching using. I use a other plugin to check between the roles or a second browser.
    Thx.

I will check your feedback in the new year, currently I’m on travelling without a client.

@frank, it says Cheatin’ huh? which indicates that I’ve been locked out (the role was Editor) of the Users page. 1.8.5 redirects to the Dashboard.

    Happy New Year!

    Hello @frank.
After installing the latest version of adminimize my users get this error when they try to do anything on their Dashboard:

“Cheatin’ uh? You do not have the right permission to update settings”

    Hi Susan.
Which settings do you have active?
It is a default role of the WP core?
    Thanks for testing.

Hello Frank. Thank you for your reply.

I’ve exported my current settings: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hyla6nrxifgm7kj/mw_adminimize-settings-export-01-05-2016.json?dl=0

No, they are not default roles but they were working correctly before I updated the plugin.

Once I deactivate it the error does not display anymore. But, of course, I really need to activate it ??

    (@bueltge)

Thanks again. The settings are not helpful. You have all settings on custom roles and this is not possible to import on my dev installation. But I think you have deactivate the Dashboard for a role and this user-group can’t access now with the 1.9.0-RC version, right?

I understand. It is weird because I did not deactivated Dashboard for any role but I’ll take a closer look to my settings as my website is not public yet.

I will let you know asap if I’m able to find the issue.

Thanks for all your feedback, much helpful.

Currently I have updated the trunk, so that you can retest your topics.
    I have fixed your topics:

    * Hide Editor on Write Areas
    * Access for Roles, extend the Admin

I see forward for feedback, thanks a lot.

    Hello at all.

I have updated again (01/07/2016-22:13), much more changes.
I have found a problem with the core to check the role of the users, is a bug inside the core and now I have rewrite this part to check better.

It would be fine, if your can retest and write feedback.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Frank,

I’ve installed the latest from here: https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/adminimize.zip

The admin bar backend settings doesn’t seem to be working. Can you confirm it’s working?
