new version slows page loads, causes white flash page loads in IE

    The new version seems to cause a delay in my wp page loads, which causes a short delay and the background of the browser window to flash white before the page loads. This happens when I click on different pages or refresh pages. I use IE11. When I install the old wunderground version, this doesn’t happen, with the widget in the sidebar also. So to summarize, if I have a wunderground widget in both sites, but one site is the latest wunderground, and the other is the old wunderground with [forecast] shortcode in a text widget, the site with the new wunderground has a slight delay on page loads that causes a white flash in IE11. This degrades the quality of the site, and i’m hoping you will look into it please. I’m guessing it may have something to do with the caching. Perhaps the new version isn’t caching the same way as the old version? Or else it’s just a much slower version now. Thank you. Using the old plugin is a drag, because I always have to remember “not” to update it, when I update other plugins. I have multiple sites.

    The plugin’s being cached; the issue was with the web font being loaded; it was loading using a way that most browsers support, but not IE (by using //example.com instead of https://example.com and https://example.com.

    I’ve fixed this and will release the update ASAP.

    Thanks but version 2.0.9 didn’t solve the delay. Also, I really think it’s not necessary to load the “verb” font. Arial looks so similar and is cleaner looking in my opinion that that “verb” font. Just my 2 cents. Thanks again.
