New Widget: Shire Reckoning

  • Two years ago I wrote a plug-in, Shire Reckoning, to output dates according to the calendar used by the Hobbits in Tolkien’s <i>Lord of the Rings</i>.

    I was asked if it would ever be available as a Widget.

    Now it is. ??

    Download the zip file, and upload the extracted .php file to your widgets directory. Activate, drag the Shire Reckoning widget to your sidebar, and you too can have a little note about what today’s date is according to the Hobbit calendar. And when something noteworthy happened on this day in Middle-Earth history, you’ll have that, too. ??
