Are you using HTML in the description of the calendar or are you looking for the plugin to automatically link them? You might be able to try the Simple Display options on the side to see if the “Show the description of events? (URLs in the description will be made into links).” option will help with it.

Oh the calendar IS creating the link which is terrific.

It’s just that I can’t get the link to open in a new window. Which is why I thought if the calendar honored the newwindow attribute, that we would have the best of both worlds – auto-create link that either opens in the same or new window

If it is being added with HTML from the calendar then you can just add the target="_blank" attribute to your <a> tag.

I’m just putting the link in the description in text: https://myawesomecoolsite.com and the calendar plugin is making the text a link automatically. Which is AWESOME.

So I don’t have the option to put the target in there. I was hoping the plugin would or could be made to honor the newwindow attribute unless there is another way. I really don’t want to put the HTTP markup in the calendar item description as it makes the description hard to read everywhere else.

    Thanks

Ahh ok I was a little confused there. Thanks for clearing it up. There is not actually a way to do this currently without modifying the actual plugin files. I am going to share this with Phil and see if it is something that we should add in at some point. Thanks for bringing it up to us.
