Our Quote Requests “Origin” are all showing as “Unknown” since woocommerce introduced their new “Order Attribution” capability.

Is this new feature going to work with a future NP Quote Request update or is it supposed to work with it already? If so, how do we get the correct reporting working?

Order Attribution is handled by WooCommerce, not this plugin. Please read WooCommerce documentation and enable the feature if you have not yet. Read under “Unkown” in the documentation. As far as historical data, Documentation states:”This data is available only to orders generated after enabling this feature or updating to WooCommerce 8.5. If you deactivate this feature at any point, orders placed during the disabled period will not incorporate this data.

Hi, yes – aware of all that and it is turned on yet we still get the “unknown”. Another site we have without the Neah plugin installed is working fine showing the origins which is why I have asked about future compatibility of your plugin? We also have another site that uses the YITH request a quote plugin – like your plugin that also doesn’t work. I asked them the same question and their reply was:
“The default quote process does not support the Order Attribuition as these informations are managed by woocommerce on checkout.
The only way to have this informations in a quote order is to disable the add to quot button in products, and enable the Quote button in checkout page. So the users could add to cart and go to checkout where they can click on ask for a quote button.”
So I suspect the same applies to your plugin.

I don’t think it applies to ours. Our tests on our installs as well as a dozen other install shows “Direct” or the other codes. Are you adding new orders from the admin page?

Have you seen this thread on WooCommerce support forum: Order attribution origin unknown

The problem is with the normal setting, it seems. We were able to duplicate it. We will address this in the future probably. At the moment , we are working on getting compatibility with block checkout and cart. We will address this issue after that for normal checkout if possible.

OK, great – you’ve duplicated the issue and will work on a fix in the future. Keep up the good work on a great plugin and let me know if you need any more info from my end.
