Really? Cause I had a plugin called https://www.lionscripts.com/product/wordpress-ip-address-blocker-pro/ after I updated my wordpress. All my freakin IPs were GONE!!!!, and I couldn’t add anymore… also I couldn’t re-add the ips that were taken away from me!, that’s why I’m asking,. I think that program is great, to bad you gotta pay for it?

Right now, i just installed WP-BAN

Unsure how great that is. I’m just trying to find something that will work with the new version of wordpress. I don’t know seems like people are slacking and falling behind on there plugins.

Ban Hammer doesn’t do IPs. Never has, never will. It’s for stopping emails from registering.

You asked “Does this work on 3.8” of Ban Hammer. Answer: yes, MY plugin does. I’m using it right now. Even went and installed on a new WP instance to verify and checked with WP_DEBUG on. No errors ??

wordpress-ip-address-blocker-pro isn’t my plugin, either, and I’ve never used it, so again, not really anything to do with me or my plugin.

Unless you’ve got an error with my plugin, or a question about Ban Hammer, there’s not much more to say. Slinging random comments like how plugin devs are slacking is demoralizing, and not a nice way to get people to help you out. Most plugins that were working on 3.7 work on 3.8.

Thanks, cause seems like most of the plugins, on the right hand side there’s nothing that tells me it works with the newest wordpress that’s why i asked.

And it has 3.8 for version and I’m just left with do i download this or not. If it did work someone should add yeah it works. instead of note enough date, just helps me out in choosing.

tl;dr: You can’t just look at ONE aspect of a plugin’s page and expect to know everything or have all your answers. You have to review the whole plugin, all it’s aspects (not the code, the information on the plugin page), to begin to understand all this.

That just reads really rude. Especially since you asked “Does it work?” and the plugin author replied very promptly with “Yes.” The implication is that she (I) was lying. And that my friend ain’t nice.
