    Hi.

I recently installed wordpress for a new website. I noticed that the Media Library does not render properly. Only the Media Library heading and “Add New” are visible. I noticed the issue while building my site that there was no visible media or thumbnails. If I try to add new images, the default multi-file uploader doesn’t work and there is no drag and drop option. It is only when I choose to use the browser upload option that I can upload media. The media does upload, I’ve checked on the ftp site.

I’ve done a lot of the suggested fixes on the forums without luck. This includes site checks, updating permissions on wp-uploads in ftp site, using toubleshooting plugins, deactivating plugins, thumbnail regenerators… I’ve even uninstalled everything and started from scratch.

I inspected the Media Library page and under Console there is an error of jQuery not defined. Help.

Disclaimer: I’m not a coder or advanced wordpress user.

Is it the same when you have no active plugins and an active default theme for example twentytwenty?

Yes, there are no active plugins and the default template is twenty twenty.

I’ve included link to snapshots of what media library looks like

    Apologies for the delayed response.

Can you see the path for which this error is showing?

this domain was sharing hosting space with another. seems some of settings of the other domain were messing with the new domain. ended up just hosting the new site separately and issue seems to gone
