New York Times theme?

I think a lot of people are waiting for a theme like this, I know I am…

I’ve been looking for something like this for some time but haven’t found anything that is good enough.

ah, so I’m not the only one huh? I guess that means I am going to have to try and create it myself.

There is another newspaper theme too – News Print v2.0 (see it in action here). It is being maintained, and should soon have full widget support. It can be set to 3 or 4 columns in the main index file and there are several options to set how and where the posts appear.

The nytimes blog layout is something we have been looking at for a couple of years. Richards theme is nice BUT without programming knowledge we could never get it to look like the nytimes blog.

Ricahrd can you help those of us who would love to use your theme but lack the experience to get it to look how we want.

Richard, that is a very nice theme. I remember running across it and actually considering it. It’s a tad more of a classified look than I was looking for.

I started playing around with the foundations of making my own NYT theme. It’s far from polished but I have the basics down so far.

I’m been looking for a challenge. I think I will try to get a theme that has the features of the NYTimes theme. Already have lots of Ideas about how to do it.

I will let you know what I come up with.
