    Hello,
I’m very new to WordPress and I’m building my first site. I’m well on my way and have already gotten most of the main site built on a local host using the OceanWP theme.

My next step is to create user accounts.

Users will need to be able to request accounts and once approved:
    – Change password
    – Update profile
    – submit a product request
    – View the status of their requests
    – Visit account holder only sections of the site

Some nice to have items would be social login and some integration with mail chimp.

I’ve tried a few things (OceanWP pop up login plugin, ultimate member plugin, and some WordPress forms) but I was hoping for some advice on how to proceed. I’m not tied to anything at this point so I appreciate whatever advice I can get.

    Thanks!

  • Hi!
In settings-> general you should have the choise for allowing ‘anyone can register’ and setting their role.
But you can simply use woocommerce for it all. It will allow others to submit products, and you as admin will be able to approve them, watch their statistics etc.

Thanks @clausify. I’ll play around with that a bit and see where it gets me.
