Newb question about social media plugin

    I am trying to get a social media plugin to insert on the top of my pages that displays floating social media icons across the top. One of them is called sexybookmarks that I really like but can’t find it when searching for it in dashboard/plugins/add.

    I just tried another one called Floating Social Media Icon and it looks like to get any of the icons to appear I have to enter a social media profile URL. If that the case I would have to have profiles set up with each one of these sites, doesn’t seem right to me??

    Is that how it works?

    Can anyone suggest a good social media plugin that has good looking floating icons?

    Yes thats how it works.. it will link the icons to your social media profiles..

    Thanks, help me understand, I know there are plugins to share on many other social sites (some have hundreds of icons)is this something different?

    In the case above why would people want to post something to my social media and not their own or does it do both?

    Trying to wrap my brain around this whole social media thing.

    When u do Tweets it will appear on your twitter time line.. same like that.. when u share something on Facebook it will appear on your Facebook timeline.. so the use of this plugin is to link your social media profiles from your website.. so your visitors can easily find your social media profiles..

    Yes there is a lot of social media plugins.. some are social media sharing plugins, (where it allows your visitors to share your website with their Friends or followers) some are profile linking plugins. Floating social Media Icon is a profile linking plugin (working of this plugin is explained in first paragraph).

    Floating Social Media Icon plugin have only the essential social media profile icons, that is facebook, linkedin, twitter, googleplus and pinterest.. so no confusion and it has really a nice interface to configure.. watch the video and you will understand.. ??
