Newbie, any advise?

  • Hey everyone!

    I’m totally new to blogging and new to WordPress. I’m hoping to start my fly fishing blog soon.

    I’m starting a fly fishing apparel and soft goods business and I hope to use my blog to keep customers informed and entertained. (If they check out my commerce site that’s even better but I don’t want the blog to be an advertisement!)

    I was just wondering if anybody had any advise for a “new guy” just starting his blog. Any good books or articles I should read?

  • The book I buy for my clients is “WordPress for Dummies” Second Edition by Lisa Sabin-Wilson. It’s not perfect, but WordPress has changed so much in the last couple of years that its 2009 publication date really helps.
