• I have seen this question addressed but it is always a “Closed Topic” and I cannot read the posts. (Any help here would be appreciated.)

Anyway I have a lot of rss feeds which are dumped into my drafts section for me to review before publishing. The problem is that I just want to delete some of them WITHOUT having to open it for editing. I just want a way to delete them from the collective drafts view at the top of the page.

    Thanks,
    Clif

  • Drafts are meant purely for the drafting purpose, as being a place holder for when you want to actually publish the article. There is no system setup right now to go in the do a mass deletion of drafts because there is no need for it, most people don’t write hundreds of drafts and then want to go delete them.

you may be able to find some SQL code to run in your database to delete them all, but I do not know it.

Right now the only solution I know of is going in one-by-one and deleting them after opening them for edit.

The SQL code to indescriminently delete all drafts is easy to create, but if you only want to delete a handful or selected ones, this would require a little more work. It might be easier just to edit the ones you want to delete from the Admin menu in that case.

    Regards
