Newbie, need design help

I am new to wordpress and blogging. I design websites and have designed one for my new blog but I have no idea how to integrate it with wordpress. Is there a script or something that I can just post inside the html of my page to get the posts to show up? And help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
