Newbie needs help!!

  • Hi. I have taken over the editing of our WordPress site, that was made from som US consultants. I have now watched 15 hours of video and has reached a good level of competence in wordpress editing.

    My problem is that the people that made the page has used a stylesheet for the main page, instead of making it in the editor. When I try to open the static main page, it is empty in my Dashboard editor. I have edited the all.css, so it looks like I will, but I can not find the place to edit the text.

    I would also like to know if it is better to use the same template for all pages, and make the page in the editor instead?

    It is in maintenance mode now.

    I have tried to deactivate all plugins and all other tips…

    Can anyone help?

  • What theme are you using? Where was it downloaded from?

    Hi. It was made from som guys at 99designs I think. It is a custom made theme Mytos.

    It looks like a problem with your theme for which you need to ask the guys at 99designs. Just for testing, switch to Twenty Twelve theme and see if the problems persist.

    Hi. Have now done that. Still blank Static front page in editor.

    Can I see your site with Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins deactivated?

    the page might be using a page template;
    what is selected under ‘page attributes’ ‘page template’
