I am sooo green and would really like to learn how to do this! Please be kind! I just created a (very simple)website using WordPress to promote my book. The book is for sale on Amazon.
I signed up to be an “Amazon Associate” so I can earn money when people click thru to Amazon using a specific HTML provided by Amazon.
To enable this feature the Amazon Associate page says I need to:

“Highlight and copy this HTML, then paste it into the code for your Web site.”

I have no idea how to do this. Can I even do it using WordPress? Is there a plugin I need to download that will allow me to convert the HTML and insert it as a widget?
I apologize for sounding like an idiot! (Just remember you were a newbie once too!)
Thanks in advance for any help!

  • where do you want the link?

Easiest place would be on your sidebar. Depending on how wide the link is (is it an image?)

But basically, you could just go to appearance->widgets and drop a text widget on your sidebar, then paste the code into the text widget
