Newbie question regarding Portfolio Galleries

  • Hi, Looking for some help to either point me in the right direction or tell me what I have in mind isn’t possible – I’m looking to create a site which showcases pictures of my Artworks (effectivley a Portfolio page) however when one of the images is clicked it launches a carousel overlay on that page showing alternative pictures of the individual artwork – not the rest that are shown on the source page which are all unique artworks.

    My teriminology may be way off here so apologies if this isn’t ver clear – tutorials I’ve looked at so far only seem to allow a Portfolio or gallery that just displays the images on the source page – any help of pointers at a good help guide appreciated.

  • There are many many different themes, and many different plugins to WordPress that provide the same or similar functionality to what you are describing. imo, your request is too generic to answer properly.

    I would suggest finding an existing website or two that displays what you are trying to achieve, and share that this thread. The recommendations can be made.

    And while the link to your site is ideal, it would also help to share the theme you are using, and any other plugins or page builders, or plugins that you already tired but did not like.
