Problem with my posting on my site

A custom link is just an item that you can add to a menu that will simply link to whatever URL you specify. It’s helpful because it doesn’t have to link directly to one of the pages on your website but can link to any location whether it’s on your website or on another one.

You can’t make a post to be a child of a page. What exactly are you working to accomplish with these changes?

I am adding a page to the menu (testnewspage), then making a post (testpost) and using the category to “link” it together and adding it under the testnewspage and sliding to the right. I feel like I’m one step off from understanding how to do this.

If you look at our site, the news links don’t really take you anywhere and I have no idea how to fix that. First I was told we had a .com site, then told we have a .org site. So I am completely confused, as I already was! Thank you for any help you can give me.

Are you trying to create a menu that displays a list of all of the latest posts in a certain category similar to this?

YES!!! So when I click on for example “SHINE receives CP” it actually re-directs to what you currently see on the news page.

This plugin should accomplish what you’re looking to do: Category Posts in Custom Menu

I’ve tested this plugin, and it works very well. You should be able to make the list of the posts as a submenu to a custom link or another category link on the menu.
