newbie – what did i do wrong?

  • the install says that everything went fine but when i go to do the admin login i get the following error list

    another item of note… when i click on links in the posting page i get the following error as well
    Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/mstamper/public_html/blog/wp-admin/link-manager.php on line 488
    any ideas on that. did i not upload all the files i needed. i thought i got them all.

    did those errors happen after you deleted anything from within wp ?
