Newest Version of WordPress

2.0.4 has tons of upgrades, especially security fixes. Worth doing. The install is pretty straight-forward imho.

Will it mess up my content or any of my altered style sheets for the themes I’m using? I shutter at the thought of starting over..

It shouldn’t unless your theme is using some deprecated tags…

I’d say it would make sense to do a complete database and WP directory backup before you start the upgrade. Just in case you need to regress..

But with the security fixes involved, even if your theme isn’t immediately groovy, I’d try and fix it.
