Thank you for coming back to me on this and I am sorry for not making myself clear in relation to my query.

It is the image carousel below the ‘latest Posts’ which I am trying to disable and not the latest news part itself.

For remove carousel slider go to Slider Banner & tab Section (Theme Dashboard >> appearance >> customize >> frontpage option) and click disable Enable Slider banner section, you can also following screenshot link: https://prntscr.com/scil6k

And remove blog post below slider for this add the below css code in additional css filed
(Theme Dashboard >> appearance >> customize )

{
display:none !important;
}

Is there a way to removed the tabbed section to the left of the carousel slider?
