News on static page

Hi,

I’m trying to setup a new look for the website of my aquariumclub.
I’ve got a testwebsite where I want to have a static homepage.
But I also want beneath the static text to have on the left side an article of our previous meeting and next to it an article of what we are going to do on the next meeting both with a read more part wich will transfer the visitor to the newspage. I just don’t want to type the articles on the static page and again in the news page.
Do you have any advice for me how to accomplish that?
