Hi – just started using newsletter connect and mailchimp – i created a couple of lists in mailchimp and used the api and the lists populated on the backend of wordpress. I went back to create more lists it wasn’t showing up in the backend of wordpress (only the original two that I created) – I had to get a new api from mailchimp and stick that in – then the list updated.

Is this the correct way to do it? or is this a bug, I thought using the api it would auto update information.

  • Thanks for the heads-up about this issue @giilour. Definitely not ideal. What is happening is that the MailChimp lists are cached in the site to avoid repeated API calls to MailChimp (which can slow the admin page load quite a bit). But obviously there needs to be a way to re-sync lists.

I’ve listed this as a bug to be fixed in the Newsletter Connect plugin; it’ll be resolved in the next release.

    Cheers,
    Eric
