Newsletter images are placeholders

My email newsletters on this site and another (believethegoodnews.com) are appearing with a placeholder but not the image.

I am using a post image in a Gutenberg image block via media approx 500 kb
Also a related but different featured image

When I just used the featured image, I didn’t get an image in the newsletter at all.

When I just used the inline block-located image and not the featured image, I don’t see an image on the home page miniature.

I have tried Jetpack settings at all positions, but generally lazy loading off and carousel off. Here ar e t he first 4 & most relevant tab and setti ngs for comment :

Suggestions please. On another site, which has the same Jetpack settings, the images do appear OK.
